Thank You!

Hi Everyone–Time to sit back and say thanks to all of you who have expressed your interest in My Mother’s Shoes and are keeping the memory of my mother, father, and all those who survived and perished in the Holocaust alive. Time passes all too quickly and those terrible years dim, and that is why it is more crucial than ever to send the message of treating all human beings, no matter our differences, with a sense of justice and fairness.  Let us all continue to love and value our families and tell the stories of our past, for education is the key to having the kind of a world we want to pass on to our children.  This is the legacy of our ancestors.

Thanks first to the Renaissance Group of Morristown, NJ, an energetic group of individuals of a “certain age” who hosted my book presentation on March 4th.  What a thrill it was for me to get to know all of you and share our stories.

On March 25, the ladies of the Highland Park Book group invited me to partake in good conversation about MMS, at the home of my dear friend and textbook editor, Sue Saad.  It was a pleasure meeting all of you and fielding your challenging questions–Thanks, Sue, for providing good company as well as tasty humentashen and ruggelach!

Just finished taping another piece for East Brunswick TV.  This time I shared the spotlight with a very special person–look for more news in the coming weeks!

Keeping you posted,

Shirley
